COLORFUL WEDDING CELEBRATION AT ELSEWHERE IN TOPANGA CANYON
The couple, Tavi and Tom, initially planned a soft garden wedding with muted tones for about 100 guests in May 2020. However, due to the challenges posed by the pandemic, they had to alter their plans drastically. They decided to transform their wedding into a burst of celebration and color, drawing inspiration from Mediterranean architecture and vibrant color schemes.
Tavi and Tom opted for bright Mediterranean colors such as orange, royal blue, red, and aqua, deviating from their original soft color palette. This change reflected a growing trend where couples are embracing vibrant colors for their weddings.
Victoria Ann Events helped the couple plan their wedding, ensuring that the design was intentional and aligned with their vision. Mi Florita created stunning floral arrangements, including a vibrant ceremony arch draped in magenta blooms. With the extended planning process, the couple had more time to incorporate heartfelt and meaningful details into their wedding. Each design element was carefully chosen to reflect their heritage and relationship.
Tavi's artist mother designed and painted a vibrant backdrop for the wedding, adding a unique and personal touch to the event. Tavi also hand-painted gift boxes for each guest, filled with personal gifts reflecting the couple's love story.
Tavi's dress, named Octavia, held special significance as it mirrored her full name. The couple also highlighted their diverse heritages during the ceremony and incorporated symbolic elements into their design and gifting details.
Despite not being originally budgeted for, the twinkle light canopy became a must-have element for the couple's new venue and smaller reception, adding a touch of magic to the celebration.
